I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our fur-family members and those who are starting to follow our Blog the warmest of Holiday wishes. In an attempt to keep my promise of having an active Blog I decided that I had better make a Post now, before the week-end. I will be busy getting ready to go out of town and will not return until Christmas Eve. I didn't want to wait until then to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
My husband Jim will be home to take care of the dogs while I am away. He enjoys his time with them and does a great job making sure everyone has all that they need. Actually, I sometimes have to put one or two on a diet when I return from a trip!
They have a way of talking him into believing that "Cindy feeds us WAY more than that!" This is such a smart breed, they know if they look at him just right they can have whatever they want from him. I don't mind, that's part of the fun of having them.
I will be away from Boot Top December 14th - 24th. I will have my cell phone with me so anyone can still get in touch with me any time. I am heading to Oklahoma to evaluate a litter of puppies for Patti Moore of Shining Star Aussies. She is a member of our mentoring program. Last summer she purchased POCKETS GIVE ME LIBERTY from us and brought her back to be bred to KABOOM. This is her first litter and she is so very excited. She is also in the process of putting up a building that will be her home office, nursery, and basic home for her dogs. I can't wait to see it. She has been working on the plans for quite a while and it is fun to see it all come together for her.
I am then directly off to do a three day semi-private workshop with Eric Salas. You can read more about Eric on my CONTINUING EDUCATION page of my web site if you don't know who he is. In my opinion, he's one of the best groomers in the country and a very successful Professional All-Breed handler. I just can't wait to see what I learn! Three days with Eric is like being in the sleigh with Santa Clause on Christmas Eve to me! Can you tell that I am just a bit excited! I will return home on Christmas Eve just in time to hand out treats to all of the dogs on Christmas morning.
Between Christmas and New Years we will have Edyna and Jay Shaw from Moon Creek Aussies, Miles City Montana, here for a visit. They are coming to pick up their female that was here to be bred and also a new puppy! Congratulations Jay & Edyna, on the purchase of a beautiful red tri female out of COAT TAILS MENA & KABOOM. This is our last Kaboom litter, as we have sold him. We are very happy that this nice female is going to Jay & Edyna. They are also in our mentoring program and currently have puppies available. This new little Boot Top girl will be a great new addition to her program.
We hope all of our Boot Top babies across the country have some special time with their families during the holidays! Remember to keep the chocolates away from the edge of the tables, the holly hung high, and all of the other poisonous holiday traditions that can cause tragity to your pets. When it comes to holiday parties, please be sure that when your dogs get tired of all of the hub-bub that they have a quiet place that they can go and rest. This is a fun and festive time for us humans, but remember can be a very stressful time for our fur companions. Give them all a hug from us here at Boot Top!
